Statement
I carefully study the world around me while striving to understand something that may transcend it. I'm drawn to exploring the realms between the virtual and physical, the artificial and natural, and I have a deep fascination with light, shadow, and sensory experiences - using them to capture the immeasurable dimensions of reality.
My works aim to blend authentic lived experiences with universal human experiences, re-focusing our relationships with the surrounding environment. My approach involves simple transformations of material structures and perceptions, bridging the distance between what is known and what is felt, to realize a surreal existence that can be physically experienced. I'm particularly interested in the interweaving of image and lived experience, and the contradictory capabilities between immaterial digital means and vivid physical, embodied realities.
I transform everyday life into moving imagery, partial details, and repeated actions. Using techniques like stop-motion animation on mobile devices, I place objects in new contexts, contrasting different elements to create maximum tension and energy. I craft my works through meditation and stillness, blurring the boundaries between art and life to present an alternative reality within the ordinary.
My goal is to slow the flow of time, alter the distances and positions from which we observe things, focus on the relationships between objects and their opposites, and ponder whether mysterious forces from distant horizons exist. I hope to challenge our habitual notions about the world, allowing the audience to perceive signs of the surreal and deeply reflect on our connections to this world and its hidden possibilities.
