Discovering the Hidden Art in Everyday Life: The Artistic Perspective of Le Xi

In my artistic creation process, I have always been exploring the true essence of art. Although I have doubts about the existence of "reality", I believe that each person has their own unique real-life experiences. The driving force of my creation comes from my inner beliefs and the realities of my life, but my works do not entirely depend on these factors.

Discover how the artist Le Xi uses scale, vision, and tactile memories to elevate the everyday into striking geometric compositions, inviting the viewer to experience the interplay of control and imagination.

I disagree with the view that art can be simply defined as the creation of beautiful objects. I believe that art has long been integrated into various aspects of our daily lives. Life is not only the material for artistic creation, but is itself an art form. My job is to discover, reorganize and present this art that exists in life. As I delve deeper into this world, I feel the increasing importance of art. Why can't we notice the things that constantly exist in our daily lives? My works are a way to recognize these overlooked things.

The current art circle is overly pursuing scale and sensational effects, which I consider a disastrous trend. Instead, I prefer to focus on the small and hidden things in life, because they often contain the essence of our existence. I hope that artworks can be integrated into life, and galleries and museums should not be the final destination for works. Artworks should traverse the world in a vague and strange way, and I don't know if the internet is still a strange way, but I appreciate the inclusiveness of the internet, where the weak voices of individuals have a place to exist. I firmly believe that the best way to keep works is to quietly place them in the corner.

Take my work "Balance and Straight Line" as an example. It tries to amplify human's desire to control "balance and straight line" by confusing scale and visual effects. This work explores the subtle relationship between the work's real and imagined states of control. In the unintervened shooting process, I deliberately maintain the stability of the straight lines in the picture, which is a "unnatural" behavior towards nature. I try to transform the things in the real world into pure linear forms and connect their connections through tactile memory. I distill the ebbs and flows of fate into flat geometric shapes and stable shooting postures, isolating the tension between control and being controlled. Through maximum simplification and de-narration, I want to experience the subtle boundaries between sensibility and materials. Overall, I try to confirm the connection between "feelings" and "bodily postures", so that this relationship can be physically perceived in events and spaces.

In summary, my artistic creation aims to explore the true things in life that are overlooked, and integrate them into life in unexpected ways, triggering people's re-recognition of everyday things.
